Pearls are hard, rounded pieces made out of nacre produced within the mantle of a living shelled mollusc, and have been found in almost every sea in the planet for many centuries.
Because they are becoming very scarce, techniques were invented to recreate them in a semi-natural way (cultured pearls) that has been used for many years in Japan, China and the south pacific. These pearls have the same characteristics of the natural ones but are controlled and produced in a unlimited way. This pearls are called Sea water cultured pearls when are produced in sea waters and fresh water cultured pearls when are produced in fresh water.
We use the real salt and fresh water cultured pearls to follow our principles of sustainability and eco-friendliness that characterizes our Company.
